Stabbing
at Conway, Young Man Dead
Police
are currently investigating the circumstances
surrounding the death of Jamal Ledger alias
“Too Slack”, 22 years of Conway,
Castries.
This incident occurred about12:00pm, on Monday
the 25th of January, 2010, at Conway, where
Ledger was allegedly stabbed during an altercation.
He was later pronounced dead at the Victoria
Hospital.
No one has been arrested in connection with
this incident; however, police are continuing
their investigation.
Calypso
Singer Shot Dead at Leslie Land
Police
have launched an investigation into the death
of Meandad Raggie, popularly known as “Ratchy”,
27 years of Pavee, Castries, who was shot about
11:30pm on Saturday the 23rd of January, 2010,
at Leslie Land, Castries.
According to reports, Raggie was in the company
of some friends when he was approached by a
man who robbed him of his silver chain. He made
an attempt to retrieve the chain when the man
pointed a gun at him.
Raggie and his friends immediately fled the
scene but the individual fired at them and hit
Raggie in an area of his back. He continued
running until he fell near a restaurant on Chausee
Road, Castries.
He was thereafter taken to the Victoria Hospital
via ambulance where he was pronounced dead on
arrival. No arrest has been made in connection
with this incident; however, police continue
their investigation and are therefore appealing
to anyone who may have information to contact

Meandad Raggie was a member of the “Take
Over Calypso Tent” and he was the father
of three young girls.
