Morne Du Don Man Shot by Masked Men

Neil Polius of Morne Du Don, Castries, was shot in the left thigh by two masked men, while on his way home about 9:50pm on Wednesday the 6th of January 2010.
Reports indicate that when Polius got to the back of the Morne Du Don School, two masked men fired gunshots at him which resulted in one of the bullets hitting him in the left thigh.
He is presently nursing injuries at the Victoria Hospital, Castries. No one has been arrested in connection with this incident, however, investigation is continuing.

Bocage Youth Charged for Attempted Murder

Police have since charged Jason Warrican, 27 years of Bocage, Castries, for the attempted murder of Kimron Cooper, a.k.a. “Marco”, 20 years of Wilton’s Yard also known as “Grave Yard”, Castries.
Cooper was shot several times in an area of his abdomen, at Victoria Street, Castries, about 7:15am, on Tuesday the 5th of January, 2010. He remains in a stable condition at the Victoria Hospital, Castries.

 
 

Police also preferred two additional charges against Warrican, one for the possession of a 9mm firearm and the other, for the possession of ten rounds of 9mm ammunition.
Warrican was arrested at New Village, Castries, by officers attached to the Special Services Unit (S.S.U.), shortly after the shooting of Kimron Cooper. He was found with a 9mm firearm along with ten rounds of ammunition.
On Thursday the 7th of January, 2009, Warrican was taken to court where he was granted bail in the sum of $5000.00EC, cash or suitable surety or land documents with reference to the charge of attempted murder. In relation to the charge of possession of firearm, he was bailed in the sum of $2000.00EC, cash or suitable surety or land documents and on the other charge of possession of ammunition, bail was granted in the sum of $1000.00EC on his own recognizance.
