20 Year Old Shot Several Times in Abdomen
M.G. George

Investigators are still unsure of a link between Tuesday morning’s shooting incident on Victoria Street and the arrest that same day of a man in possession of a 9mm firearm with 10 rounds of ammunition in the nearby New Village community however they are pursuing with vigour the causes leading to the shooting.
Kimron Cooper better known as Marco, 20 years of Wilton’s Yard was approached by three men at about 7:15 Tuesday morning. The three men shot him several times in the abdomen according to police reports.
Cooper was up to yesterday under medical watch at Victoria Hospital where he was taken in a private vehicle shortly after the shooters fled the scene.

The twenty year old is a well known individual to police having been arrested several times by them. In fact just two weeks ago police were in search of him having in their possession warrants of arrest for him. They did confront him and arrested him but only after he was shot in the leg.
He was charged and later released by police who yesterday said they are holding someone in connection with Cooper’s shooting. Reports are that the individual police are holding was himself shot by police when they responded to the shooting incident involving Cooper.
Meanwhile shortly after that incident officers attached to the Special Service Unit, the same officers who responded to the Cooper shooting, apprehended a young man in New Village in possession of a 9mm firearm and 10 rounds of 9mm ammunition.
