Youth Caught with Ammunition during Traffic Check

A young man of Sarrot, quarter of Castries, currently faces a charge of Possession of Ammunition, after he was arrested by officers attached to the Traffic Unit.
On Friday the 24th of April 2009, about 10:30am, police officers attached to the Traffic Unit, conducted a traffic check along the Sarrot Road, when they intercepted a White Suzuki Escudo, registration number: PG 2729. A search of the vehicle and the occupants was conducted, where police discovered a magazine which contained three rounds of .380 ammunition, on the person of Mukson Hunte, 22 years of Sarrot, Castries.
He was arrested and subsequently charged for the offence of Possession of Ammunition. Bail was granted in the sum of $500EC and he is scheduled to appear in court on Monday the 25th of May, 2009.
