16 Year Old Drowns at Roseau

Another drowning has taken place, another young person has lost a life and the debate regarding safety measures for Saint Lucia’s beaches continues.
Yanson Dolius, 16, of Bois D’Inde of Anse-La-Raye, a third former at the Vide Bouteille Secondary School drowned last Saturday while bathing at the Roseau Beach.
Reports are that Dolius went to the beach with a friend two years his senior to bathe that day and that the currents pulled him under. His body was washed a shore at about 2:30 p.m. that same day.
Anse-La-Raye police were called so too was an Emergency Medical Team. Dolius was pronounced dead at Victoria Hospital.
