Chefs
get Hooked Up
Stanley
Augustin, a 46-year-old chef, was the last lucky winner
in the Cable & Wireless “Hook Me Up” promotion.
Originally from Saltibus, but now resident at Independence
City, Castries, Stanley won a Nokia N95 smartphone courtesy
Cable & Wireless and a trip for two to Puerto Rico on
American Airlines.
“I sent about a dozen text messages, but I was not
really expecting to win the big prize,” said Stanley.
“Even when I got the call from Cable & Wireless,
and they told me I won a phone, I never thought it would
be something like this.” The Nokia N95 is a full-functioned
two-way slide multimedia phone with a 5-megapixel camera.
Stanley
also revealed that he would be taking his sister to Puerto
Rico with him. He won from thousands of entries in the Hook
Me Up promotion, where bmobile customers are given the chance
to win high-end handsets like the Nokia N95, plus prizes
from Cable & Wireless’ partners like American
Airlines.
During the course of its previous Hook Me Up promotions,
customers won phones like the Sony Ericsson W580 Wadkman
and LG Prada K850 by texting the work HOOK to 2929. The
latest Hook Me Up promotion gives customers a chance to
win a Hitachi plasma tv and Bose surround sound speaker
system worth $50,000, just by texting the word HOOK to 2929.
