Cancellation of the Spring Break Festival 2010
Wilson Jn. Baptiste, President

We would like to inform you that due to logistical challenges, we were left with no alternative but to postpone Spring Break Festival 2010. We do believe that this is in the best interest of Spring Break 2011.
Whilst the level of exposure and interest which St. Lucia received from the marketing of Spring Break 2010 was far reaching and exceeded our expectations, the conversion to confirmed bookings was less than adequate and thus would have rendered a non viable undertaking. In hindsight, it was evident that critical time constraints hampered the conversion factor. However, we have established some strategic alliances with local and international sponsors, circular marketing and promotional collaborations with regional promoters and backward and forward linkages with key stakeholders.

These alliances are poised to ensure a seamless execution of related functions that we are optimistic would rebound to the hosting of a highly successful spring break Festival 2011.
We would like to express our sincere thanks to the St. Lucia Tourist Board and its overseas offices for their unwavering support and our invaluable local and International sponsors for their expressed considerations for the coming year. We also extend our gratitude to the National Emergency Management Organization, Non Governmental Organ-izations and Government departments for their assistance and guidance.
We would also like to express our renewed optimism and greatest assurances to all potential patrons and Spring Breakers that the 2011 event will be the best ever to be held in the wider region.
