30th
January 2010
Congrats
THE
EDITOR,
Congratulations to Mr. & Mrs. Augustus Justin
and Management on the 25th Anniversary of the
Adelaide Homes.
I would like to begin with a poem which is anonymous.
Some
sing His love,
Their lives are like folk songs, melodious and
simple
They tell us it is our Father in Heaven
Who rocks the cradle, Thatches the cottages,
Kindles the fire,
Brings the felicity of old age
Some are pearls of laughter - like - bells
Singing out the splendor of His being,
Carillons swung over the cities of the world
Some are muted music
Turned to ears accustomed to the sound of tears,
Some are stammered words
Uttered painfully to those who cannot yet bear
the flute-like clarity of the glory of Heaven
Some are whispers of love
Revealing the innermost things
To the very attentive hearts who can receive
them
Some are a loud cry
Like the voice of John crying in the wilderness
Some are the pause
The stop in the music
Which stresses the rhythm
Expressing the word even by silence
Like the silence of the night
Each one who lives Christ’s Life
Is a word of God telling His love.
Mr.
Augustus Justin has sung Christ’s life
in the expression of his dream to serve the
poor and the elderly.
This 31st January 2010 marks a milestone in
the purpose of his life, twenty five (25) years
serving the poor and elderly, when he established
the Adelaide and Frances Memorial Homes.

His zeal and
determination to give of himself, has enabled
him to offer first class service, care and
accommodation, to the elderly, befitting the
dignity of human beings, God’s children.
It is not a coincidence that on his 25th Anniversary
of his work, he is also blessing the opening
of the Johnson Memorial Home for the elderly,
to which the Adelaide Homes are affiliated
The building located on lower Morne Road Castries,
in its green and picturesque environment depicts
God’s amazing feat of architecture,
captured in the manner in which Mr. Justin
renovated the building.
This has now become an outstanding and important
landmark in our beautiful island St. Lucia.
He deserves our deepest congratulations for
his dedicated efforts and an outpouring of
his love for this age group of persons in
the St. Lucian society.
May God bless him and his family, the Management
of the Adelaide Homes and their families,
also the Bernard Johnson family who have now
joined the cause of reaching out to the poor
and elderly. May God give you, all He sees
you need to administer the homes, where the
attendants can continue to experience devoted
care, peace, togetherness, sharing and Christ’s
love.
Thank you most sincerely Mr. Justin and all
those who partner with you for reaching your
special and important dream.
As the poem says we all have different roles
that constitute the whole. You all have done
your share and I am sure God will reward you
and your families richly.
Congratulations on your great achievement.
It is worthy to highlight here, that there
will be a centenarian who will be celebrating
her one hundred birthday on the same date
31th January 2010. She is Mrs. Anastasie Jn
Marie also known as Ma Man, who hails from
the District of Desruisseaux in the quarter
of Micoud. Congratulations and God’s
blessings to her.
It is no coincidence that it is happening
at this time when the Adelaide Homes are celebrating
twenty five (25) years in the care of the
Aged. God has no doubt directed this great
joint event for His purpose.

Leonce (Mrs.)
