Union Business First

THE EDITOR
My name is John Henry, a St. Lucian citizen Lucian by birth. I am a member of the Seamen’s General Workers’ Union for more than 40 years.
I am appealing to the New Executive of the Union not to allow the President to use the Union for Political reasons. From the time he became the President of the Union, the Union is being used for Political reasons. Now, he has joined with the Secretary of the C.S.A.

All St. Lucians know his political colours. When the workers of Sandals Hotel in La Toc were terminated, I did not hear a word from him. I know St. Lucians can see what is going on here, while the President of my Union wants to shut down the country, with so many allegations being made against him in America.
I am appealing to him to clear his name for the Union members and the general public. The Union is there to represent their members not to fight the government.
