Micoud Public Forum

The Saint Lucia National Trust in collaboration with the Micoud Development Foundation will co-host a public forum on the theme, “The Impact of Hotel developments on the Marine and Terrestrial Environment”. The purpose of this forum is to educate the people of the Micoud community and by extension the nation about the positive and negative effects of establishing medium to large scale hotel developments in coastal communities.

The agenda for the meeting includes: An outline and critical review of the development approval process; a presentation on the Le Paradis Beach and Golf Resort by DCG Properties Ltd and a critical analysis of the development approval process by the Saint Lucia National Trust. There will also be an opportunity for open discussion. This forum is open to all residents of the Praslin community and Micoud village and the Saint Lucian Public at large. The forum will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at the Micoud Multi-Purpose Centre from 6.00 p.m. in Micoud.
