Kudos
to Richard Frederick

EDITOR
They say that great things come in small packages, and the
best is saved for last. These sayings can very well be accredited
to a man that is so controversial, but who has more than proven
himself in the political arena, Richard Frederic, better known
to St. Lucians as the prince of peace.
There is so much controversy that has surrounded Mr. Frederick
and yet still none has been proven, and many St. Lucians find
this disturbing, as we are a nation that has always sought
after the truth. It is no surprise that all the negative information
has obviously come from the opposition, the SLP party. St.
Lucians today are no longer concerned with hearsay but they
are entertained by the facts. And the facts are that Richard
Frederick has accomplished in one year what the opposition
could not in a decade. Let me take you through the beginning
of his legacy. Richard started off as an independent candidate
and won his place with the U.W.P. As a matter of fact he was
one of Sir John’s greatest assets. He then went on to
start vertical development programs which I personally have
overseen. Later he moved on to securing 116 homes in Marigot
for first home owners. But his greatest achievement thus so
far is in crime, the most prominent problem that we have faced
in this country for over ten years.
Where the SLP failed miserable, from poor management that
did not even suppress crime, to hiring foreign police officers
from England who could not put a dent in the situation, Richard
had to step in.
It takes a great man to do great things, and Richard Frederick
is one of our greatest. Since his immeasurable contribution
to suppression of crime, St. Lucians, and visitors alike will
tell you that they feel so much safer, We all feel at home
without looking over our backs.
Yes, they may still be incidents, but we know the truth, we
all feel much more safe. On behalf of myself, the returning
visitors, the foreigners who live here at home, and the many,
many St. Lucians that I talk to on a daily basis, thank you,
thank you so much Richard you are without a doubt our prince
of peace, and we look forward to having you around much, much
longer. In short we truly love you.
