SOL Proud of St. Lucia’s performance

SOL EEC Limited, agents for Shell fuel and lubricants in the region recently re-launched a retail business program which enables and empowers retailers and their sales force to deliver consistent operational excellence at all of their servce stations. It is called People Make The Difference Real - PMTDR, and is designed to maintain, measure and reward Shell retailers and members of their sales force for their consistent customer service and satisfaction.
The results of the PMTDR program were recently announced and two Shell service stations in St. Lucia emerged top place finishers, taking positions one and two - Glace Motors at Marisule and Rambally’s at Bexon. St. Lucia also stood at number one overall in the Caribbean region.
Gayle Withers, SOL Caribbean Retail Operations Co-ordinator says the local participant dealers have excelled within the PMTDR program. “What I like particularly about St. Lucia is that they have been doing amazingly well within the program. They are committed, very creative, innovative and get things done even when it seems as though it cannot be done. They are able to implement incentive programs at the site level across the island and they are doing very well.”

The winners have now earned a trip to Kuala Lumpur where they will receive official recognition for their hard work at a gala awards ceremony for successful Shell dealers from around the globe. Mr. Clinton Charley of the Vieux Fort Shell service station was also honoured for being the most consistently performing dealer and he is also the Silver Award winner for the fourrth quarter.
Eugenie Dalson, General Manager of the local SOL operating unit says their retail sites create opportunity for Shell to make a meaningful difference to its customers as envisioned through the PMTDR program. “For us about 75% of our product goes through our retail sites – so retail is key in our business. That aspect of our business also gives us an opportumity to showcase ourselves because that is where we are most visible. To be successful you have to have an excellent relationship with the people who have direct contact with the customer. That is how we know what the customer wants so we can adapt our business to suit their needs.”
Shell’s PMDTR encourages excellence in service provision an every day, every visit occurrence for customers of their global business.
SOL St. Lucia says it hopes St. Lucia can retain its ranking in Shell’s PMTDR program
