“Grow Well Brings Smiles to Senior Citizens”

Senior citizens and the needy of Gros Islet and surrounding communities had something to smile about during this year’s observance of Independence Day. On Saturday 20th February, Grow Well Inc., with assistance from Club 60 members of Grow Well, distributed a total of 52 hampers made up of food and household items to bring some measure of cheer and comfort to these persons.
In presenting the hampers Paul Lorde, PRO of Grow Well explained the decision to distribute the hampers for Independence. He noted that in the past, Grow Well presented Christmas hampers; however other organizations usually did the same so that the senior citizens had excesses at Christmas. Grow Well felt that the individuals would always be in need so that the presentation would be more appropriate at a later period.
