GROW-ED CORNER

Smile of a Child

The staff of Grow-Ed last November & December 2009 held a SMILE OF A CHILD PHOTO EXPOSE` as part of the UNIVERSAL CHILDREN DAY of November 2009 and continued through the month of December 2009.
Parents/Guardians were encouraged to participate by submitting a bust or full size 5x8 photograph of their loved ones.
While the response was very low, a total number of 11 children graced the centres poster to expose their beautiful smile to the patrons and well wishers of the centre, during which those participants voted for the best boy and girl BEST SMILE and plus provision was made for an overall and people chioce.
Grow-Ed in the past have been providing opportunities for the children who are enrolled with the centre through a series of centre oriented activities, some of which forms part of the centre calender of activities.

In as much as the centre is working to improve on its present image,
the work ahead is not easy with the poor response from parents and guardians to partake in the organized activities for parents and children,
In the new school year and second term, management will be focusing on strengthening the care environment and to tackle the problem of delinquent parenting.
Below are the total scores in the Universal Children Day Smile of a Child photo expose`.

1. Neveah D,Auvergne --------108 points
2. Kyshawn Pinelle -------------81 points
3. Amani Mathurin --------------53 points.

Prizes for these children will be presented during this term.
Thanks to all those who participated in the exercise and let us work together in making Grow-Ed the centre for your child.
