Inc. Completes Successful C.V. Workshop

Well Inc., across from the R.C. Church in Gros
Islet, offered a free three-day Workshop for
youth and adults over the age of 15 on how to
write a successful CV to improve their chances
at securing a job.
The Workshop was held from Wednesday, August
11th to Friday, August 13th. A total of 21 individuals
participated over the course of the three days.
Workshop participants included persons ages
15 through 62 and while most were from around
the Gros Islet District, a few also made the
trip from south of Castries to be in attendance.
The first day was delivered in an interactive
lecture style and days two and three were fully
hands-on. Topics covered included: What is a
CV? ; components of a CV/Resume; using effective
power statements, adjectives, and verbs to entice
the employer; selling yourself and self-advertising;
using proper formatting to sell your CV; writing
an efficient cover letter; building successful
interview skills; and how to choose solid references.
