Student Speaker Represents with LIME

Blossom Fregis, a 16-year old student of St Joseph’s Convent has good reason to be proud. She recently represented St Lucia at the CTO Tourism Youth Congress in St Martin, staged as part of the inaugural State of the Industry conference. Earlier this year, Blossom won the St Lucia Tourism Speaking Competition. She triumphed after impressing the panel of judges with her poise, enunciation, body language and diction, and won herself a trophy as well as a Lenovo laptop computer and free Internet access from LIME.
A total of 10 secondary schools entered this year’s local speaking competition, organized by the Ministry of Tourism and Civil Aviation, and LIME was one of several corporate sponsors providing prizes.

As a winner, Blossom also got the opportunity to represent the nation as one of 11 Caribbean “Junior Ministers of Tourism” in St Martin.
“It is always a pleasure for us at LIME to reward young people for their hard work and their academic excellence,” noted LIME Corporate Communications Executive, Terry Finisterre. “This year we have been part of the Ministry of Agricultures Photography Competition, and Anansi’s Challenge, among other initiatives. It’s fantastic to see the amount of effort these students put into what they do, and all we at LIME can do is join their parents, teachers and communities in helping them set and reach their goals. We are always proud to support our young people.”
