Club Leo Golden Pageant

HelpAge St. Lucia National Council of and For Older Persons is a voluntary non-profit making, non-government organization. Its mission is to work for improved quality of life and preservation of the dignity of Older Persons in St. Lucia through Advocacy, Education, Training, Support, Empowerment and Income Security.
Every year the National Council observes the United Nations International Day of Older Persons on October 1st. This event was followed by a month of activities to commemorate the occasion. The National Council decided to host a Club 60 Golden Pageant at the National Cultural Centre, October 23rd, 20011 from 1:00 p.m.

 
 

The Pageant comprises six lovely ladies from the age of 60 years and above to compete for the crown. The aim of the pageant is to get the older persons to display their talents and have fun in the process. The proceeds of the pageant will go towards the Adult Day Care Centre in La Clery.
Contestants are:
1. Mrs. Bernadette Nuptial - Choiseul Club 60 – 74 years
2. Mrs. Magaleine Teague Micoud Club 60 - 75 years
3. Mrs. Philomene Paul La Clery Club 60 – 77 years
4. Mrs. Leona Daniel Gros-Islet Club 60 – 64 years
5. Mrs. Anastasia Dosihee Bananneau Mothers & Fathers Group – 57 years
