St. Lucia National Council of and For Older
Persons is a voluntary non-profit making, non-government
organization. Its mission is to work for improved
quality of life and preservation of the dignity
of Older Persons in St. Lucia through Advocacy,
Education, Training, Support, Empowerment and
Income Security.
Every year the National Council observes the
United Nations International Day of Older Persons
on October 1st. This event was followed by a
month of activities to commemorate the occasion.
The National Council decided to host a Club
60 Golden Pageant at the National Cultural Centre,
October 23rd, 20011 from 1:00 p.m. |
