St. Lucia’s Pride And Joy!

While organizers of the annual Jamzone International 2010 Pageant had not chosen their local(Guyanese) contestant, Joyann Biscette had been selected to compete on St. Lucia’s behalf. In a June 2010 issue of the Stabroek News, Hits & Jam Entertainment confirmed that Joyann Biscette will represent her island at the beach pageant slated for this August.
In a recent interview, 24-year-old Biscette described herself as “the epitome of Joy” which incidentally she said, is the origin of her name. ‘Vibrant, dazzling, full of life, captivating and determined’, were just some of the words used to by the gorgeous Biscette, to describe herself.
All who know of Biscette know too that her long-term goal is to be actively employed in the tourism industry as an international relations tourist agent. She openly admits that since all aspects of her life are essentially linked to tourism and entertainment, both are aims she fervently strives to achieve. She is ‘quite optimistic of her chances of being Miss Jamzone International 2010 and is anxiously making preparations for the event.’

 
 

Hits and Jams Entertainment, in a recently release statement, revealed that , ‘the line-up of beauties for the pageant are said to include professional models, past and present beauty queens. “These delegates most of whom have never been to Guyana are very anxious to showcase their country’s rich cultural heritage…”
It is said that “Guyana will transform into a land of ‘Cultural Paradise’, this year as the organizers of the renowned Jamzone Summer Break and Beach Pageant are making massive changes to the events to make it the most explosive occasion of 2010.”
This year Hits and Jams Entertainment celebrates its 10th anniversary and the winners will receive prizes valued at US$15,000 and a whopping US$10,000 in cash.
