read somewhere that ‘accessory’
means ‘to add on.’ And since we’re
talking fashion, I agree. There are a lot of
words to describe what an accessory does, such
as enhance, boost, amplify, heighten, upgrade…blah
blah etc. Despite all such adjectives, an accessory
should not in any way ‘take over’
whatever it is ‘adding on’ to.
How many times have you stood before your wardrobe,
contemplating what to wear with what? Yellow
shoes, red bag, white dress? (Care to look in
the mirror before stepping out in that scenario!)
Or say pink pumps with your little black dress?
(Thumbs up!) But no matter the dilemma, we can
rely on personal style and the tips from the
expert designers and fashionistas. If not then
we could rely on common sense and good eye sight!
Just like Sex And The City’s Carrie Bradshaw
(turn Preston) had a shoe fetish, I confess
to having a jewelry fetish. And I know I am
not the only girl with such a malady. So of
course, I like rings, earrings, chains, bracelets.
Okay let me stop! But we all know the rule stating
‘just because it’s in style, means
it’s your style!’ To put it another
way: Different people, Different styles!
You may be surprised to see what looks good
on you, do not be afraid to try out the unknown.
How about the following:
--- Head bands (Oh yeah they are so back. Get
your glam on by getting the metallic ones and
do not worry they aren’t only for the
gym!)

--
Handbags (The big bag is in but you don’t
have to be a vintage lover to rock the tiny
sack!)
--- Rings (Big, small, bright, dull; just don’t
put on too many, unless of course you are going
for a pimp look!)
--- Chains (Find your outfit too plain? Try
put different lengths. Chains look great with
solid color garbs!)
-- Bracelets (Gold, wood, silver, bronze, plastic
(yes plastic), try out the different shapes,
shades and sizes!)
--- Sunnies (This may be a tricky affair, but
style and comfort are key in choosing a pair
of sunglasses. Play around with the different
frames to get the perfect fit!)
--- Hats (From fedoras to top hats (Okay, so
maybe you may need a special occasion for that
one) nonetheless, not only the guys are the
only ones looking cool with this head gear!)
--- Scarves (Not at all for hot days, the wrappers
are a great way to glam up a simple outfit.
Cool days are coming so soon enough, you may
get a reason to bring out your scarf out from
hibernation)
Always remember, accessories help but they should
not drown out your main look! Be sure to accessorize
with care!
