 I
can’t wait to convene my first meeting
on the internet using gotomeeting.com. I will
now be able to communicate with my readers and
colleagues. The series of one hour programmes
will commence on March 14, 2010. Internet Marketing
Programmes will take centre stage in the early
stage of the series of programmes. I am looking
forward to some serious interaction. I am hopeful
that persons with business ideas will share
the stage with me. Let me hear from you on your
area of business on the Internet and your interest
in participating.
There is a lot to be done and a lot of information
to be shared. I am committed to doing my part
in ensuring that business people come together
and share ideas. I am very involved in the launch
of a new cable television channel and radio
station and I have the commitment from the owner
that the stations will be used to empower St.
Lucians spiritually, mentally, physically, emotionally,
socially and financially. We are dedicated to
opening up the stations to all St. Lucians with
a positive story to tell. The nation is waiting
to hear your story which I am certain that in
many instances will be a blessing to the hearers.
I cautioned my readers not to be too excited
about improved economic prospects for 2010.
However, there is going to be a gradual reversal
of the negative trends. While I am cautious
about global economic developments I am excited
about what we can achieve in 2010 if we get
excited about making a difference. It is all
about new approaches - making a difference.
The Realtors Association (Saint Lucia) Inc.
Introductory Course for Real Estate Agents and
New Entrants to the Industry was a success.
The 12 hour course was compact and participants
were empowered with information to make a difference
in the Industry.

Ms.
Lorraine D. Glace, Attorney at Law challenged
participants to be professional in dealing with
their clients. She highlighted the legal implications
involved in the business of real estate and
cautioned them to act within the law ensuring
at all times that the property being offered
is eligible to be placed on the market.
President Heather Floissac and her team of Directors
are determined to bring local Realtors up to
world class standards. While the Industry continues
to be soft, there are tremendous prospects for
the future. A number of middle income development
projects are on the cards to be launched this
year. It is encouraging to note that local developers
are stepping up to the table with projects that
will help to create jobs in the construction
sector and give Realtors opportunities to market
products that are in demand.
I listened to Russell Lake’s Show on Helen
100 on Thursday, 25/2/2010 with his guest Choix
Melchoir of IMA Caribbean. I am happy to note
that Directors of IMA Caribbean are not totally
disillusioned and have plans to continue the
initiative in the future. Internet Marketing
is the business that has the greatest potential
to put people to work in the global village.
I continue to labour at getting business persons
to get together but it continues to elude me.
I will never give up my goal. In 2010 I will
change my approach as I have been doing the
same thing over and over without the desired
results. I now have vehicles at my disposal
to make it happen finally.
