SMALL BUSINESS CORNER

Businesspersons were expecting to see some improved sales activity during the week leading up to the Easter Holidays. If the crowded streets were any indication to go by, the businesspersons were supposed to get a boost to augment their sales for the first quarter of 2008. It will be interesting to note the sales performance of businesses in the 1st quarter of 2008.
The President of the St. Lucia Industrial & Small Business Association (SLISBA), Mr. Eldridge Stephens was part of a Delegation headed by Senator, Honourable Guy Mayers, Minister for Trade, Industry, Commerce and Consumer Affairs on a visit to Cuba from 24 – 29/3/08. The invitation was extended by the Hon. Minister of Commerce of Cuba and is aimed at developing business links between our countries as well as exploring possible areas of trade.

The Realtors Association is now a registered limited liability company known as ALLIED REALTORS ASSOCIATION INC. (ARA). The General Membership Networking Meeting will be held at the Bay Gardens Inn Hotel at 6.00pm on Wednesday, 2nd April 2008. Sales Executives of DCG Properties Limited, Developers of Le Paradis will address the meeting.
SLISBA will host a Fund Raising Dance on Saturday, 3rd May, 2008 at Nashville Palace from 8.00pm. Country & Old School Music will be provided by DJ Prior and there will be lots of Door Prizes.
