Treats for International Food Fair
On
Sunday 28th February 2010, the Venezuelan Embassy
participated in the Saint Lucia National Trust:
Taste the World International Food Fair’
giving Saint Lucians and visitors to this island
nation the opportunity to sample a few Venezuelan
treats.
Arepas, empanadas and chich, a rice milkshake
that was the cause of many a raised eyebrow
and shocked expression, were enjoyed by the
most of those brave enough to sample something
new, with quite few individuals returning for
second helpings.
The Embassy is indeed pleased with the public’s
response to last Sunday’s activity and
thankful to the Saint Lucia National Trust for
the opportunity to participate, as it looks
forward to sharing Venezuelan culture at the
next International Food Fair.
