T.D. Jakes
To Make Historic Visit To St. Lucia
Renowned
television evangelist, Bishop T.D. Jakes will
be making an historic visit to St. Lucia in
April with two scheduled appearances at the
Pigeon Island National Landmark. The event is
being put on by the International Men’s
Network, the Government of St. Lucia and FAITH,
a recently formed non-governmental body which
stands for “Fighting Against Increasing
Threats to Humanity.” President of the
International Men’s Network, Barry Innocent
says that the US based Jakes have been invited
to the island in recognition of the need to
respond strategically to social challenges facing
Men, families and communities in Saint Lucia
and the wider Caribbean.
“The social malaise of St. Lucia is quite
dire and we at International Men’s Network
believe that we have a crucial role to play.
We need to reclaim our communities and make
a contribution to restoring order, respect and
love for our neighbours. This conference is
one of the many initiatives that the International
Mens’ Network is using to accomplish this
feat,” explains Innocent.
