Staff of CFL gives to St. Jude’s

At a brief ceremony held on January 6th, 2010 a large contingent of staff of Consolidated Foods Limited (CFL) presented EC $10,000 to the management of St. Jude’s Hospital. The monies represents donations collected from the over 1000 staff members of the eight Super J IGA stores, Mega J, CFL’s warehouses at Cul de Sac and Choc and the Head office.
The monies will be used for day to day financing of the operations at the makeshift hospital, given the many challenges which such an operation presents.

Last year CFL as a company committed $100,000 to the St. Jude’s Hospital rebuilding effort. However the staff as a grouping felt moved to make a personal group contribution and raised $10,000. For the staff of CFL, particularly those based in the south where the company has two Super J stores, Saint Jude’s is synonymous with quality, efficient and warm medical care and is an important part of their history.
