St. Lucian Lawyer called to the bar
News
has reached our editorial, that 26 year old
Shannon Chitolie, was called to the bar by Judge
Redhead on 28th July, 2010 at the High Court
in St. Lucia. Present were other attorneys,
family and friends. He was presented to the
Court by Attorneys –at-law Veronica Barnard
and seconded by Al Elliot.
Son of Felix and Marcelline Chitolie, consultants
at Rodney Bay, Gros Islet, Shannon Chitolie
graduated with honours from the University of
Wolverhampton, and thereafter, proceeded to
receive a postgraduate diploma in vocational
training for the bar at BPP College of Professional
Studies Law School in preparation for his call
to the Bar at Middle Temple Inn, which historically,
has produced several of the leading legal luminaries
in the Caribbean and the wider international
legal fraternity.
Judge Redhead in welcoming him to the legal
fraternity in the Eastern Caribbean Supreme
Court in St. Lucia, offered very profound advice
to the young attorney. In his address to the
court, Mr. Chitolie gave the undertaking to
take the job of a lawyer very seriously by living
a life of integrity. He further reiterated his
fierce determination to demonstrate the qualities
of fairness, trustworthiness and courage in
the practice of law.
