RBTT
records pre-tax earnings of US$192.3 million
Peter J. July,
Group Chairman, RBTT Financial Holdings Limited, has announced
that the Group recorded pre-tax earnings of US$192.3 million,
an increase of 6 per cent over the prior year’s profit
of US$182.0 million. Profit attributable to shareholders increased
by US$6.1 million or 4 per cent to US$151.8 million, with
earnings per share moving from US$0.42 as restated to US$0.44,
an increase of 5 per cent. Profit attributable to shareholders
for the previous year was restated to include a prior year
adjustment of US$2.1 million for deferred taxation.

St.
Lucian Small Businesspersons challenged to do business with
T& T!!!
Mr.
Jonathan Adams, President/CEO of the Small Enterprising Business
Association (SEBA) of Trinidad & Tobago challenged St.
Lucian Businesspersons involved in the production of goods
and services, and retail distribution to do business with
Trinidad & Tobago and stop being intimidated by big businesses.
He stressed the point that big businesses are not to be feared,
there is room for all to coexist.

General Manager moves on

- Mr. Vincent Hippolyte, General Manager of the Saint Lucia
Air & Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA) over the past nine
years opted not to renew his contract of employment which
expired on April 30th 2007.
“Performing the responsibilities of General
Manager of the Saint Lucia Air & Sea Ports Authority (SLASPA)
was excitingly challenging and of course difficult at times,
but most of all, it was an immensely fulfilling experience
to have had.
