RHAC wins Invitational again

The Rodney Heights Aquatic Center 8th Invitational Club Meet came to a successful conclusion over the weekend March 8th to 11th 2007 with the Rodney Heights Aquatics Club (RHAC), dominating the meet and capturing top spot with a total of 1,317 points.
For the very first time local club Sea Jays Swim Club grabbed the second place, just out pointing Barbados club Alpha Sharks with 632 to 515 points respectively.

Caribbean sports journalists to form grouping

Can the Caribbean sports journalists take their game to another level, and in the same breath, allow for greater appreciation of the many sacrifices the region’s sportsmen and women have made and are making?
During the February 27th – 28th Thinking Sports Symposium which was held in Trinidad and Tobago at the Cascadia Hotel, and attended by many of the region’s top sports journalists, the idea which was being discussed quietly amongst the participants, was brought to the fore.

 

Thrills and spills in the water

Saint Lucia’s first ever competitive kite surfing event literally took off over the last weekend, with riders coming from eight different countries to test their skills in the world class conditions that the Island offers.
With both Freestyle and racing disciplines promising plenty of action, the gathered crowd had enough to keep there eyes focused on the water, at the Lonely Tree Beach in Vieux-Fort.

Second opinion on autopsy sought Jamaican papers hint at strangulation

After little apparent forward movement on Wednesday in the investigations of Bob Woolmer’s death, Jamaican police officials began questioning members of the Pakistani team on Thursday morning. The questioning comes on the same day that two Jamaican newspapers claimed that 58-year-old Woolmer, who died on Sunday, had been strangled.
