rights of performers are often confused with the performing
rights which exist in a musical work. Because of this, HMS
seeks to put the record straight by highlighting the differences,
as follows.

to his/her performance and here a performer can be described

Beliefs, values, attitudes, norms. These are all immaterial
components of culture, and therefore society. These are also
the determinants of human behaviors in societies worldwide.
We term them collectively “ideology.” We often
hear of political ideologies – the basis of our political
behaviours. Religious ideology – the basis of our behavior
in relation to God and man. And we can go on and on singularizing
ideologies, but they all add up to one personal ideology -
the set of beliefs, values, attitudes and norms that power
our lives, that power us
through life.

GLOBAL IMPACTS
Every
year, on 23 March, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO),
its 187 Members and the worldwide meteorological community
celebrate World Meteorological Day. This Day commemorates
the entry into force, on that date in 1950, of the WMO Convention
creating the Organization. Subsequently, in 1951, WMO was
designated a specialized agency of the United Nations System.
In 2005, on the occasion of its fifty-seventh session, the
WMO Executive Council decided that the theme for the year
2007 would be “Polar meteorology:

Festival- Impact on micro and small enterprises
The
importance of the Small Business sector in contributing to
economic and social development especially in small states
is widely recognized. Small and micro businesses have the
potential to create and expand employment opportunities, develop
entrepreneurial skills, enhance market opportunities and encourage
export promotion and import substitution. However, the full
potential of the Small Business sector is yet to be fully
explored.
The Small Enterprise Development Unit (SEDU) of the Ministry
of Trade, Industry and Commerce was given the mandate from
the National Industrial Policy and the Micro and Small Business
Act (1998) to provide an avenue for the strengthening and
expansion of the sector in St. Lucia.
