the up coming Sky Diving competition slated for Saturday 29th
and Sunday 30th March 2008 in the South of the Island a number
of Surfers on Sunday 9th March 2008 were spotted in the Pigeon
Island area keeping in shape for what is expected to be a
thriller.. Sunday’s showpiece exhibited by
what I consider to be real brave men showed a whole lot of
patience,
The
Mon Repos Playing Field next to the Primary School will come
alive for the St. Lucia Athletics Association’ s Right
On Track Programme and the many young and aspiring athletes
persons in the community on Saturday 15th March 2008 commencing
from 10:00 a.m. The Right On Track Programme an initiative
sponsored by the National Gas Company,
The
St. Lucia Rugby Union in collaboration with the Mon Repos
Youth and Sports Council will be staging an exhibition rugby
match on the Arwen Playing Field, Mon Repos on Sunday 16th
March 2008 from 12:30 pm. This weekend game is part
of the Union’s drive to heighten awareness of the sport
on the island and increase player and spectator base.
The
2008 Grand final of the Bounty Rum 3 Hand Domino Competition
will slam off today Saturday 15th March commencing from 4:00pm
at Club X-Tra Cover opposite the Vigie Multi Purpose Sports
Complex. Following last weekend’s final qualifier
at Sydney’s Place on Jeremie Street it is too early
to predict who will emerge overall champion,
They
came and they ran in spite the inclement weather which threatened
to put a halt to the track and field meet on a couple of occasions.
On Friday 7th March 2008 well over 300 students represented
10 primary schools within District seven in what can only
be dubbed as a see for yourself battle. The participating
students from all the schools gave it their all,
The
Management of Valley Soccer Academy would like to remind members
and parents of the monthly half-hour lecture series scheduled
for today Saturday 15th March, 2008, commencing 9:00 am at
the Castries Comprehensive Secondary School. The
guest speaker will be Peter Reynolds from CAPS and he will

March 2008 held a press launch at the Conference Room of the
St.Lucia Chamber of Commerce Industry and Agriculture as they
set the pace for this year’s Tournament. Present
were the President and Executive members of the SLVBA, Florian
Combie Head Coach of the national female squad,

2008 Courts OECS Club Champion of Champions Netball Tournament
climaxed on Thursday evening at the Kingstown Netball Centre
at Arnos Vale in what local organizers described as another
successful Tournament hosted by the host country St.Vincent
