on the island tomorrow when the Department of Youth and Sports
along with its sponsors stages its most talked about activity
for secondary school students and thousands are expected to
converge at the fast dilapidating facility. Well

Four Football Heating up at Vigie
Football
action continued at the Vigie Playing Field on Tuesday 11th
March 2008 in the inaugural Micheal Fedee Memorial Big Four
Tournament organized by VSADC. After two impressive
victories FC Pioneers entered Tuesday afternoon’s encounter
bubbling on an all time high with confidence versus NYAH.
However, they were pegged back,

for Babonneau and Corinth Secondary in Under 19 Cricket
Babonneau
Secondary won a close encounter against Bocage Secondary by
4 runs in the 2008 United Insurance Under 19 schools cricket
competition. Batting first after winning the toss, Babonneau
collapsed from 86 for three to be all out for 114 in 23 overs.
Kemron Etienne top scored for Babonneau with a well played
36 and Wyid Lesporis chipped in with 24.

Stopping Carmen Rene in District 2
Carmen
Rene Memorial and team captain Brynn Walker have enjoyed the
entire spotlight this season, as they continue to dominate
District Two School Sports. On Monday 10th March
2008, there was no exception, at the once famous Mindoo Phillip
Park. Carmen Rene made light work versus SDA Primary in the
final of the Milo District Two Primary Schools Cricket Competition.

and PASO Presidents Visit
In
less than 72 hours the Government of St. Lucia and the St.
Lucia Olympic Committee are currently on the home stretch
preparing for the upcoming visit of the President of the International
Olympic Committee (IOC), Dr Jacque Rogge and the
President of the Pan American Sports Association (PASO) Mr.
Mario Vazquez Raña who are scheduled to visit,

Clifford Missed Out
Freshman
sprinter St. Lucian born Mandela Clifford of Mid -America
Nazarene University just missed out on the NAIA finals (and
the opportunity to become an All-American) in the 60m dash.
The several times St. Lucia National Champion and
former Morne Stars team captain ran a season-best 6:83 seconds
in the semi final; the national record is 6.66.

being highlighted in the media, the St. Lucia Olympic Committee
wishes to remind National Federations and sporting events
organizers that there are available for usage four sports
medicines emergency bags. These bags were donated
