DISSENSION
There
is still no end in sight to reports that St. Lucia could be
facing a national security dilemma as a result of dissension
within the police force. Investigations by The VOICE
this week regarding the dissension proved that the reported
conflict in the Royal St. Lucia Police Force is very much
a reality. Several officers have spoken out against several
actions taken,

The
North Castries Constituency Branch of the UWP lost a stalwart
in the person of Mr. John La Force who passed away on Sunday
2nd March 2008. John La Force was an executive member
of the Castries North Constituency and the Administrator of
the Castries North Constituency Office from June to September
2007.

Potential
salmonella contamination has prompted the recall of some batches
of Aunt Jemima pancake and waffle mixes, the U.S. Food and
Drug Administration said Tuesday. Salmonella can
cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children,
the elderly and others with weakened immune systems. In healthy
people, salmonella infection can cause fever,

with its core group of farmers to sensitize them of the other
issues involved in the present impasse between itself and
the Windward Islands Banana Development and Exporting Company
Limited. The impasse, though quiet today, is far

School Sports
The
Royal St. Lucia Police Force would like to inform parents
and students that only children in school uniform with a student’s
ticket, accompanied by a teacher will be allowed to enter
the George Odlum Stadium in Vieux Fort, on Friday the 14th
of March 2008, for the Intersecondary School Sports.
