Should
the SLBC be blamed for its Present Scenario?
Things
may have quieted down a bit between the Windward Islands Banana
Development and Exporting Company (WIBDECO) and the St. Lucia
Banana Corporation (SLBC) over the termination of a banana
supply contract the latter had with the former, however this
does not mean that all is well in the industry.

Shall
We Disagree Without Violence?
She
lay on the floor kicking, trying to ward off his blows, but
the man who was dressed in white shirt and trousers with a
kippah on his head did not appear to have any desire to stop
pummeling her with his fists. A group of men came

International
Women’s Day
Saturday
March 8th was celebrated as International Women’s Day
worldwide but from where I was, it did not seem like this

Business First

name is John Henry, a St. Lucian citizen Lucian by birth.

Union for more than 40 years. I am appealing to the
New Executive of the Union not to allow the President to use
the Union for Political reasons. From the time he became the
President of the Union, the Union is being used for Political
reasons.
Clinton/Obama
battle may usher McCain to the White House
By
all intent and purpose, it may not be possible for Obama nor
Clinton to achieve the 2025 electoral votes to clinch the
Democratic nomination, therefore, the final decision may be
at the discretion of the Super Delegates. This is
a very precarious situation as few political parties in the
past half century have had to resort to such a tight political
divide.
