high and low for something and you still can’t find
it though it’s right in front of your face. In this
case I refer to our architectural history; aspects of which
are as important aesthetically to our well being and to the

I
am a dedicated fan of St. Lucia and have been bringing my
family on holiday for about ten years. However recent
visits have raised concerns for me about the future attraction
of the island for tourists. There are three areas which worry
me: the increasing level of crime, the lack of respect St.
Lucians show for their beautiful environment and the threat
of over-development.

letter to Castries Town Clerk re-Vendors’ Arcade
On
Wednesday 5th March, Mr. Timothy Soomer, manager of the Vendors
arcade called all Vendors of the Vendors Arcade to a meeting
at about midday. Mr Soomer informed Vendors of decisions
taken by the Council to demolish the Vendors Arcade by the
end of April or mid May to rebuild a new Vendors Arcade. Mr.
