Prime
Minister Stephenson King has been asked to assist in the impasse
between the St. Lucia Banana Corporation (SLBC) and the Windward
Islands Banana Development and Exporting Company (WIBDECO)
Ltd. Eustace Monrose, Chairman of SLBC wrote to Prime
Minister King Tuesday of this week seeking a meeting with
him primarily to discuss the notice of termination,

Enforcement
of Elimination Red Tx Licence Plates
At
a meeting with the National Taxi Union, the Minister for Tourism
and the Minister for Communications, Works, Transport &
Public Utilities the issue of the Red Tx Plates was once again
discussed. The decision was taken to totally eliminate
Red Tx Plates from the system as it was an offence of the
Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic (Registration) Regulations,

Of Faculty Of Law, UWI Visits St. Lucia
The
Dean of the Faculty of Law, University of the West-Indies,
Professor Simeon McIntosh, visited St. Lucia on Thursday March
6th and Friday March 7th to deliver a lecture to the Constitution
Commission. Professor McIntosh is a constitutional
law specialist who has written 3 leading texts on the subject.
The lecture is also part of the Faculty of Law’s public
outreach activities,
