School Volleyball action returned to the Vigie Multi Purpose
Sports Complex on Tuesday 4th March 2008 between Anse Ger
Secondary and George Charles Secondary in the under 19 male
division. Tuesday’s encounter scheduled to
commence at 3:30 pm finally got underway some 30 minutes later
with only one official present,
Under
humid conditions and the scores of feet pounding on the surface
at the Mindoo Phillip Park, the Castries Comprehensive Secondary
School held another successful outdoor event as they showcased
their 30th Inter – House sports Meet last week.
When the final scores were all tabulated Finch House emerged
winners with a total of 611 points,
St.
Lucia’s number one netball club Digicel Elite Strikers
will be defending their OECS Champion of Champions Netball
Club title at the upcoming Courts/ OECS Netball Club Tournament
to be held in Kingstown, St. Vincent and the Grenadines from
Sunday 9th March - Thursday 13th March 2008. Digicel
Elite Strikers who won the championships in 2006,
St.
Lucia Twenty20 Stanford Pro Cricket Team made a courtesy call
at the Gros Islet Secondary School on Thursday 28th February,
2008. This was the first stop on the team’s
tour itinerary of a few schools on the island. Thursday’s
visit was no surprise to the host school’s cricket team,
who waited in eager anticipation, beaming with pride,
The
enthusiasm continues to build in St. Lucia amongst the various
swim clubs on the island as local organizers for the 9th RHAC
Invitational Swim Meet continue their preparation to stage
what is expected to be a thrilling contest at the Rodney Heights
Aquatic Center from Thursday 13th to Sunday 16th March 2008.
