Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and the Duchess of Cornwall
will pay a one-day visit to Saint Lucia on Friday, March 7,
2008 as part of a four-nation tour of the Caribbean. The
programme of activities - which has been drawn up for their
visit, the Prince’s third to Saint Lucia – focuses
on issues of mutual interest to Saint Lucia and the Prince
of Wales:

the row between the St. Lucia Banana Corporation (SLBC) and
the Windward Islands Banana Developing and Exporting Company
(WIBDECO) heats up over the latter’s decision to terminate
its month to month contract with the former, charges
that the move is a political one coordinated by one man have
surfaced, putting a whole new look,
Cable
& Wireless has held the official ribbon cutting ceremony
for its new retail outlet in Soufriere. The outlet
opened its doors to the public just before Christmas last
year. As a result, C&W customers in Soufriere and surrounding
areas no longer have to travel to Vieux Fort or Castries to
obtain services or to pay their bills. The store is also convenient
for C&W’s corporate customers.
