a 32 man Stanford Superstars training squad to prepare for
the Stanford 20/20 for US $20M match against England on Saturday1st

The
players and management of the Stanford 20/20 Tournament 2008
winning Trinidad and Tobago team were presented with exquisite
championship rings. At a gala ceremony at the Hyatt
Regency hotel in Port of Spain each member was presented with
a personalized gold and diamond ring for their triumph in
this year’s Stanford 20/20 Tournament.

Castries: 2008 Cricket Champions
South
Castries won their second major cricket title in three years
when they defeated Mon Repos by an innings and 25 runs in
the final of the Coca Cola Mindoo Phillip Premier League for
2008 at the Gros Islet Playing Field on Sunday 20th July.
Winning the toss and batting first in the three day final,
Mon Repos were dismissed for 131. 
Huxley
Wins CISC Silver
On
Sunday 20th July 2008 in Kingston Jamaica, St Lucia’s
Siona Huxley won Silver medal at the Caribbean Island Swimming
Championships in her favorite event, the 50M Backstroke in
a time of 32.12 seconds. This is the first medal
for St. Lucia at these games. In the preliminary heats, Siona
swam 31.96 seconds to set a new National Record.

Goes Down in AFNA Opener
Caribbean
Champion Jamaica and hosts nation St. Vincent and the Grenadines
both began the Americas Federation of Netball Association
(AFNA) Championships 2008 on a winning note. Jamaica,
the world No. 4 team, made light work of the non ranked St.
Lucians 54 - 21 with a team comprising several Under-21 players.
