to be treated to an evening of unforgettable talent, beauty
and an abundance of sophistication which each of the eight
St Lucian Queen contestants brought to this year’s pageant.

Tuesday July 15th 2008 civil society organizations in St.
Lucia will take to the Market Steps to host a public meeting
from 7:30pm on Government’s proposed privatization of
water. President of the Civil Society Network of
St. Lucia, Ms. Flavia Cherry defended the group’s decision
to host the meeting on the Market Steps,

The
Mindoo Phillip Park was the epicenter of rivalry and revelry
last Saturday night as the island’s premier soca artistes
vied for the title of 2008 Power Soca Monarch. By
seven-thirty, the word had got out that a hearse was parked
backstage and rumor had it that the culprit responsible was
International Soca Awards nominee, Ricky T.
Death
on the Highway
On
Saturday July 12, 2008 one man succumbed to his injuries after
being involved in a tragic accident on the Dennery Vieux Fort
Highway. According to Police Constable Trevor Constantine
of the Police Public Relations Department, one Douglas Isidore
of Bexon quarter of Castries was driving a silver Isuzu D-Max
II along the aforesaid route when he ran off the road.
