knocks for Barbados
Barbados’
bedrock tourism sector has been given renewed focus by the
Prime Minister David Thompson’s new government. There
is hope that his leadership along with that of Minister of
Tourism, Richard Sealy, and Chairman of the Barbados Tourism
Authority, Ralph Taylor, will result in some major organizational
changes needed to reposition the destination in the marketplace.

their quarterly review meeting here last week which was attended
by Robin Hayes, BA’s Executive Vice President Americas.

are students of the Les Etangs Combined School in Soufriere
and last week Carib Travel Agency in collaboration with Rain
Forest Sky Rides afforded them an opportunity to enjoy the
Aerial Tram Ride at Babonneau – a fantasy dream come
true for them. Principal, Mrs. Allen, was grateful

Blind truth
Yohan
and Juliana Alexander, along with their two-year-old son,
live in Micoud. Yohan is a musician, while Juliana is unemployed.
The couple enjoys playing cricket. Yet this is where
their similarity to other couples ceases. Yohan is severely
shortsighted and can only visually make out what is a few
inches before him.
