CHAMPIONSHIP
It’s
too early to predict the outcome of this year OECS/ECCB under
23 Netball Championship now being played in St.Lucia and once
again the pendulum has shifted towards Grenada and host country
St.Lucia as both teams remain undefeated in the tournament
thus far. On Wednesday morning the ladies
from the spice isle of Grenada handed down St.Kitts their
second defeat,
Caribbean
Games in July 2009
It
was at the meeting of the Ministers of Sport convened in Barbados
almost a decade ago the then government of Trinidad and Tobago
placed on the table consideration by Caricom the establishment
of the Caribbean Games. The twin island Olympic Committee
without hesitation supported the proposal. The proposal came
around the time that,

versus Trinidad in Two Women ODI’s
The
St.Lucia National Cricket Association on Monday 7th July announced
a 16 member under 19 women’s cricket national squad
to represent the Island in two friendly ODI matches versus
Trinidad and Tobago at the Gros Islet Playing Field on Friday11th
and Sunday 13th July 2008 commencing at 9:30 am on both days.

Clouden
back in Local Football
St.
Lucia’s former National Footballer and Coach, prominent
local city business man and long time Entrepot resident Arnold
Clouden was at the weekend elected president of the Marchand
Football League for its next term. Clouden was elected
at a special meeting of the league to chart the way forward
for football in the Marchand Community.
