A
Grim Reality
The
2005/2006 Poverty Assessment Report has many St. Lucians wondering
about the state of the economy, the well-being of
their fellow St. Lucians, the living conditions of some, if
not all of St. Lucia’s poor and the negative impact
the contents of the report are having on several families
in St. Lucia. Of all the messages sent out by the report one
seems to be dominating,
Is
WASCO a Political Football?
My
article in the Saturday Voice seems to have touched a few
nerves which had me thinking that this should have been done
many months ago. There is no doubt in my mind that
there has been poor PR on the subject of WASCO’s privatization.
My reasons for writing and speaking about the need to privatize
was simply to sensitize the nation,
Federer
versus Nadal
Raphael
Nadal a young ambitious and determined Spaniard has sent a
very clear message to the sporting world, that discipline,

in Japan. These top class industrialists have clearly stated
that they simply have no answers to the growing scarcity of
food,

shows which St Lucia offers, but nevertheless, I do subscribe
to the modem of democracy and from that aspect I guess that
a certain amount of benefits are derived at the end of the
day. Not being an ardent fan, however, does permit
me, to make one comment and fortunately or unfortunately,

Police
Brutality not to be Condoned
Reports
of police brutality mainly from young men appear to be recurring.
From excessive force during the apprehension of young men
to unprovoked abuses, young men have been venting their frustrations
but apparently nobody’s listening. Justification
for such conduct is that young men nowadays get involved in
all kinds of criminal activities,
