Focusing
on Prime Minister King
My
focus this week is on Prime Minister Stephenson King who earlier
in the year made it clear to St. Lucians that he was not appointed
to be Prime Minister of any one group or party, but
to be the Prime Minister of all St. Lucians to render to each
according to his due, and to treat all citizens as equals.

Hits Gold For Panorama
When
the St. Lucia Steelbands Association holds this year’s
Panorama at the Beausejour Cricket Stadium on July 18, it
will do so with the support of a Gold Sponsor. Scotiabank
has come on board with a $15,000 sponsorship for the event
in which six steelbands will be taking part. A sponsorship
cheque for the amount was handed over by the Bank’s
Country Manager, 
Wickedness
Unhinged
It was the Greek Philosopher Plutarch, who said, “Wickedness
is a wonderfully diligent architect of misery, of shame, accompanied
with terror, and commotion, and remorse, and endless perturbation.”
At exactly thirteen minutes after five on Tuesday morning,
I experienced the worst form of wickedness ever and I became
overwhelmed with grief.
