Government Min-isters on Friday January 18th 2008, made known
that the practice of covering up crimes committed against
visitors was to be discontinued. Speaking at a press
conference held at the Conference Room of the Saint Lucia
Tourist Board, Tourism Minister Senator Allen Chastanet stated

ARC Yacht Rescues Lucian Fisherman
World
ARC yacht Tillymint, an Oyster 82 taking part in World Cruising
Club’s round the world rally, has been involved in the
dramatic rescue of a stranded Caribbean fisherman whilst on
route to Panama. The small open fishing vessel,
the Vegas from St.Lucia, had been drifting for 20 days without
a serviceable engine. In the early hours of Saturday 26 January

yields Top cadet Recruit
The
students and teachers of the Entrepot Secondary commenced
the celebrations in recognition of the school’s 36th
Anniversary last Friday, with an ecumenical church service.
Pastor of the Streams of Power Tabernacle, Timothy
Robinson addressed them at the Church of the Sacred Heart
at Marchand, Castries. Using Joshua and Caleb in Bible times
as illustrations,

turmoil over the issue of leadership within both political
parties on the island appears to be gathering steam with one
party going to great pains to assure the electorate that it
is steadfastly behind its leader, while the other
party appears to be unsure as to whom it will throw its support
