The pain of a pre-schooler

Have you ever wondered what inspires Administrators to give their pre-schools the names which they do? Some have the most wonderful names for the schools which those precious little ones attend, but does one really know what goes on behind those gates? Kids will always be kids, adults are the ones to set the proper examples, but then again how could that be,

Free at last?

Earlier this month there was a letter to the editor of the Voice titled “Prisoners at home”. The writer, a desperate father from Anse Ger, Desruisseaux, imploring the so called “powers that be” to use their power to protect his family from an individual who blasted them daily with extremely loud music. Sad to say, this family is not the first and from the way many others islandwide have complained,

Music not the food of love

Kindly allow me some space to complement a letter in a recent edition of your paper. Like Mr. Ambrose in your issue of 5th Jan I live at Anse Ger and know too well the loud music he suffers from I have had some success in requesting that music (if it can be termed such) he turned down. That win in Iowa must have sent the North American Republican Party hierarchy into a tail spin,

Solar Electricity

In my last article, I raised the question of alternative fuel. The alternatives of oil and water are not open to us in St Lucia.. When the fumeroles project was undergoing trial, there were exciting expections. These were soon dashed on the mountain of reality. I have been an ardent advocate of solar electricity..It appeared at one time that LUCELEC was contemplating a wind system.

Is Phillip Pierre bordering on amnesia and political depression?

We are very concerned about our ex minister’s state of mind and health. A once confident personality now appears troubled, his noticeable loss of weight, stressed features and an abundance of stuttering are signs of great concern to the public. Phillip Pierre needs to reflect, compose himself on the positive images orchestrated by the United Workers Party,
