The
St. Lucia Athletics Association (SLAA) on Saturday 19th January
2008 held its second in a series of Developmental Meets in
as many weeks at the George Odlum National Stadium for its
affiliates. Saturday’s events saw scores of
under 13 athletes outscoring the more senior athletes 3 to
1.Local enthusiasts present especially the
handful of parents who were present,
The
St. Lucia National Darts Association in collaboration with
the Ministry of Youth and Sports on Saturday 19th January
2008 staged its second round of competition in the National
Darts Tournament at the Police barracks. A total
of 60 darters are representing five teams namely Fire Service,
Rebels, Amazona, Mavericks and Renegades in this year’s
tournament.
In
action from the weekend in the Virgin Holidays Football Tournament
at Marchand On Saturday 19th January, Toughest and
Flames played to a 2-2 all draw while Grass Street ended their
preliminary matches unbeaten with a 3- 1 win over Spurs. On
Sunday 20th January 2008 in the double header none of the
scheduled matches were played as Congorians and Boulevard
won by default,
