The
curtains are about to drape on our 2007 Sports At a Glance
and as an independent nation, let’s take this opportunity
to reflect on what we simply just do not have control of,
pick up the pieces, wipe our eyebrows for another day we shall
live on. The artifacts which have been preserved
in the antique titanium treasure chest will always be a lasting
memory,

President Speaks out from the hot seat
At
a press conference on Wednesday 16th January 2008 at the St.
Lucia Football Association Headquarters in La Clery, President
of the SLFA Patrick Mathurin and Michael ‘Midjet Pierre’
Public Relation Officer of the SLFA in an attempt to clear
the overcast skies which have remained stationary over the
SLFA for sometime now,

X Club has new Executive
The
St.Lucia Moto X Club held their annual elections on Thursday
10th January 2008 at their usual meeting place, Min. of Youth
and Sports. There was a 90% attendance of members to vote
on the following positions, President, which went to Randolph
“Randy” Rosemond, Vice President, Terroll
Compton, Secretary/PRO, Chris Jn.Marie, 
Babonneau
Secondary through to under 16 Football Semi Final
As
the curtains are about to come down on the 2007-2008 Secondary
School Football Tournament organized by the Ministry of Social
Transformation, Human Resource, Youth and Sports; Wednesday
16th January 2008 saw Babonneau Secondary book their place
to the semi-finals of the under 16 Football Tournament as
they defeated Micoud Secondary 4-3, 
National
Netball Association to set up pace
With
three months before the Jean Pierre under 16 Regional Netball
Youth Tournament, the SLNNA is on the move to ensure
St. Lucia’s participation at this tournament as trials
to select St. Lucia’s team began last Saturday at the
Vigie Multi Purpose Sports Complex. Unfortunately
due to persistent rain, the scheduled sessions had to be postponed
to this Saturday 19th January 2008.
