A
Flawed Merger
In
view of the present debate on the re-establishment of the
St. Lucia Development Bank, we reprint the following article
previously published in The VOICE of Thursday, April 22, 2004.

St.
Lucia and St. Lucians have experienced a very difficult year
2006-2007. We came through the general elections
of 2006 without violence like some of our neighbors who needed
assistance from U.S. and other countries to keep their elections
peaceful. Thank God for that! We came through World Cup 2007
which promised us high revenues from foreigners,

Barbados
Labour Party blown away (LA VIE EST BIEN TRISTE)
The
January 15th general elections at Barbados has been a great
shock to its leader Owen Arthur but certainly no surprise
to the Barbadian community based upon the well explained fact
by Mr Thompson that Mr Arthur’s Shelf Life had truly
expired. Our article in the Voice edition dated January 8,

As
a citizen of our blessed “Helen of the West Indies”
I feel obliged to offer my perspective of certain troubling

is saved for last. These sayings can very well be accredited
to a man that is so controversial, but who has more than proven
himself in the political arena, Richard Frederic, better known
to St. Lucians as the prince of peace. There is so
much controversy that has surrounded Mr. Frederick and yet
still none has been proven,
After
the President’s visit, What Next?
The
international news reported that outgoing Taiwanese President,
Chen Shui-bian, “received a red carpet welcome in St
Lucia” at the start of his official visit on Tuesday.
A large business delegation was among the 130 individuals
who accompanied him on his trip, during which he promised
aid and investment. But by the time they left,
