Withdraw Taiwanese Ambassador

The St Lucia Labour Party notes the visit of the President of Taiwan to our country, immediately after Parliamentary elections in that country. As St Lucians will now know, the defeat of the Government party in that election has been largely attributed to the Taiwanese people’s disgust with extensive corrupt practices in the financial management of that country.

A Nation Blessed or Cursed?

We’ve been waiting for a whole year to find out when the price of gas will go up and by how much. Now the time has come. Now we know. We were being told – as if we didn’t know – that the increase was inevitable. Now we know the price of gas has moved up from $9.50 to $12.75. And the price of diesel has moved up from $8.75 to $12.75 – the same as gas.
