The
Government Must Listen To Wiser Counsel
“This
is the state of man today he puts forth the tender leaves
of hope tomorrow blossom and his blushing honours thick upon
him, the third day comes a frost a killing frost and when
he thinks his full greatness is a ripening nips his roots
and then he falls as I do.” These words should
be a reminder to the present government of how easy it is
to fall from grace even from a position of strength.

The
Barbados General Elections due January 15th 2008 were announced
during the Yuletide Season and many Barbadians expressed their
dismay at the insensitivity of infiltrating politics into
that special season. On the other hand, we in the
Caribbean need to understand that politics were no longer
what it was, but instead, politicians have been forced into
winning an elections, by leaving no stone unturned and using
the harshest of all methods possible.  |
