The Kids Insight project is a joint venture with the Saint Lucia Blind Welfare Associaton (SLBWA) and the Lions Clubs of St. Lucia. Its purpose is to address pediatric eye care in St. Lucia. BRING CHRISTMAS CHEER TO CHILDREN OF DERNIERE RIVIERE

Two hundred less fortunate children from Derniere Riviere and the surrounding community were entertained by the Lions Club of Castries at the Deniere Riviere Combined School, in Dennery, on Saturday, 8th December. The children aged 5 to 11 were treated to eats and drinks sang Christmas carols and played games. Some even showcased their singing talent by giving commendable renditions of popular songs.

Jazz Legend in Queen’s New Year Honours List

Jamaican born Jazz Musician Legend Andy Hamilton has been awarded a MBE by the Queen in her New Year Honours List. As one of the few living Jazz Legends the Award was more than justified not to mention long overdue. Too often we tend to signal the achievements of the Great and Mighty after they have left us, but this is one honour that has been greeted with universal celebration.
